August 1, 201412 yr :dancingpa I woke up this morning, got ready for work, and just before I left home, I decided that my company didn't deserve to see me today! I put my keys back on the counter, called in "WELL" (much more fun than "SICK"), and went back to bed for awhile! Now in the process of enjoying my day. I will play nine holes of golf later this afternoon and hopefully go see the Guardians movie with my sons (paid for by them, of course)! Good for you! Happy Birthday!
August 2, 201412 yr I shot a 47 (which is great for me), went to First Friday Mass at St. Anthony's and now I'm firing up the grill (kind of late, I know) and drinking a cold one!

August 2, 201412 yr I wonder how my boss would respond if I called in "well". I thought about calling in today as "tired". Funny story, back when I worked at the CPA firm, we had a girl in the office that was "a little off" so to speak. One day she called in and said she wasn't coming in, said she just didn't want to deal with any of us today. The main partner fired her the next day, but everyone in the office though her excuse was funny.

The main partner fired her the next day, but everyone in the office though her excuse was funny. I have a little bit of flexibility having been at the same company for 31 years. I need to take the PTO by the end of the year (but on the other hand, I should have given a little more notice today)!
