Travelers vs Hoop Dream 16u

Featured Replies

Just seen that they play in the morning. who wins?

They've played once this year with Hoop Dreams winning. However, I think the Travelers have added 2-3 new players and Hoop Dreams 4-5 new players. So, these are different teams than just 6 or 7 weeks ago.

Love these types of games. I would expect a highly contested game with a high level of intensity. As is often the case, it's all about match-ups.

This should be a fun game to watch. I hope I can get some updates on this one while I am at work. :D

Starters I saw for each team this week:

TRAVELERS

Guard from Nashville??

Peyton Broughton (N Laurel)

Cole Von Hondorf (Cov Cath)

Tobler (Perry Central)

Ben Weyer (NCC)

HOOP DREAMS

Ben Moss (Apollo)

Will Hager (Mercer)

Eli Wright (Apollo)

Malik Dow (Ballard)

Colton Elkins (Boyle)

I do believe I'll take a vacation day and drive up to see this one:banana:

If those are the lineups I'll take Hoop Dreams.

HD missed 5-6 FT's at the end and Travelers missed a shot at the buzzer to tie.

I was able to see this game up close personal. Both teams obviously have some great pieces. Fun to watch. I really like Will Hagers game, the kid can play. Ben Moss had some nice plays. There seemed to be long stretches that Wright did not play. Anyone know why???

Broughton for the Travelers was a nice player, and VonHandorff was pretty good. Weyer has come along nicely.

Good game overall.

I believe Wright was in foul trouble most of the game. I agree on the players that stood out for Hoop Dreams but would also add that Eaves gave them some good minutes.

For the Travelers, I think Broughton is their best all around player. Tobler, due to his strength, gave Hoop Dreams fits around the basket. He's probably only about 6'2" but plays hard. Weyer looked good at times as well.

Completely agree with Eaves. I hadn't seen him before, but he was a nice player. Strong, and got after it.

What happened to Maclendon(??) of Holmes for the Travelers.... Anyone?

Markel Mcklendon was sick with strept throat the entire week and Raashad Ali-Shakir from Ohio was missing as well for the Travelers.

Was told Kel Stotts also quit Travelers.

Will be interesting to see how many of the 16s who played up for Travelers will play up again next year at the 17u level. Will be tough for some to compete with the physicality of the EYBL games.
