Congrats to Seth. Have known him and his brothers since they were swimming at the Ludlow Bromley swim club at a much younger age. Nice kid.

Without going too deep, Seth has left UC. He made a decision based on his future and what he wants to do in life. It's unfortunate that he will not be playing baseball but for him personally, this was the best choice for him.

Not sure what additional details you would like but I won't be providing them. I'll let Seth's private life stay that way.

 

And before anyone speculates on that last sentence, no there are no legal or disciplinary issues.

Agree! Bluegrass is supposed to be a positive sports forum and private life is private life.

Seth is a great kid. I meant nothing negative by asking the question. It was more like, is he going to medical school? Military? Just wondering what the next endeavor was if it was open to the public.

I'll be happy to address this since I was the original post to this thread. Bare with me while I frame this. I know a lot of unhappy people now who went to college to pursue "an education," graduate and be miserable for a long time with a degree/foundation for career they still struggle with.

 

While many may cry foul after learning about Seth choosing another path alternate to college. This could be the best decision of his life. Less than two days from telling Head Coach Neal this wasn't for him. He secured a job, has a plan, and more importantly is surrounded by good people that have provided a foundation for him to think freely and for himself. Not sure if baseball has a future in that equation down the road. But for now it doesn't and that's OK!

 

Seth Caple will be a winner in the "game of life" and doing so minus the athletic field is the track the majority takes anyway...:thumb:

Great news for Seth! Not many people can be honest with themselves to obtain happiness. Hoping only for the best.

Best of Luck to Seth. I think we all put expectations on kids and we have to remember they are 18-19 yrs old and very hard to figure out. Its a learning process and we as parents need to let our kids experience life lessons.

Winning at the game of Life is more important than any sport. Good Luck to Seth.
