If there actually was a war on women as is asserted so often, wouldn't the gender gap be much higher than 20 points?

No. Statistically speaking, if a candidate wins an election by, say, 8 to 10 points, you're entering landslide territory. Every GOP operative in the country knows there's a significant gender gap, and from what I've been reading lately, the top divider isn't Hobby Lobby/contraception, it's equal economic opportunity/pay.

If I were a woman working in the Obama Administration facing inferior pay to my male counterparts I know I'd be upset.
