Mine works fine.

Does Cincy Bell Fi-Optics stretch down into Gallatin Co., specifically Warsaw? Wouldn't mind using them against Time-Warner when the inevitable rate increase comes for mom and dad in a few months. They had been paying like $75 more per month under some old, outdated a-la-carte deal they had set up with Insight for years and they never kept up with how they were getting raked.

I've had no issues since my initial problem with the box they installed. Once I got it replaced everything has been fine.

Make sure the rate they quote is for 12 months. Be prepared to negotiate it after 12 months when they try to take you to their "standard" rates. I had a detailed offer from TWC in my hands. Bell locked in my rates for another 12.

No service is perfect but this has been pretty stable for me.

My 12 months is up next month thanks for the reminder. I need to get that TWC offer in my hands like you did.

By the way I have had no issues whatsoever. There are times I don't feel like the speed of the Internet is where it should be considering they gave me 50MB with my service at no additional cost but other than that it's fine.

Do you ever do a speed test to see what speed you're actually getting?

Mine works fine.

You are lucky and the minority. Some have no problems for a while but once they rear their head it's practically unfixable because 90% of the time it's a system issue which they will ignore because it costs too much to fix. I've seen issues go on for a year or so. And we were told not to tell the customer the truth. Fiber to the home works much better than fiber to the node "copper" . Both still have issues. Not saying it won't be a good product after a while. Long while. They are fused on growth more than product developement. Some of the fixes are a long way off. A year down the road. We couldn't even get the new boxes to work in the trial stage.

I would be surprised if they had made it down there. I don't believe they've finished covering the NKY area (Camp, Kent, Boone). Maybe Fear the Nation can confirm.

My parents still can't get it and they live in Cold Spring. I doubt very much it is into Gallatin County yet.

I heard something about Warsaw signing a no compete with the cable company. I don't think bell can legally provided broadband or cable there.

For those of you with FiOptics would you suggest just calling over the phone to get an offer or stopping into a Cincinnati Bell store?

Never call on the phone. You get the Philippines and they are notorious for screwing up your order. Go into the store and twist arms to get the best deal. Remember you don't get what you don't ask for, so ask.
