High School Reunions

Featured Replies

My class had a five year reunion, and there were so many petty complaints by people who did no work on it, we never had another.

Beechwood did try to start an all class reunion every 5 years. The first one was in 84. I worked on the 89 and 94 one. Last one was in 99.

I found that the same classes either had great turnouts or bad turnouts. I am sure it had to do with the cohesiveness of each class.

It was a huge undertaking, and again, complaints from people who do not help. I don't plan on ever working on or going to another one.

Helped plan our 10 year, the thing that I came away with from it was.........................realizing how many of my former classmates are in prison or jail. Yikes!!

My 25th is this year and our class never had one until 5 yrs ago for the 20th. We are a small class of 72 and I think maybe 30 showed last time. We do low key stuff, maybe go to the Football game and then rent out a local joint with a DJ or something. Stay in town. I see a handful of former classmates regularly so there are maybe 10-15 that I don't see anymore who I enjoy seeing when they come back to town.

The older you get, the more depressing it becomes. With every reunion there comes more people passing away.

When you get to the 45th or so, the main topics are retirement and medical procedures (so I've been told).

Just went to my 35th last summer. Had a great time. I was on the organizing committee for the 30th and this one and I did most of the searching for people for the 30th. I was in a large class (almost 400) and I was able to locate well over half of them. We had over 100 grads at both the 30 and 35.
