I'm loving what I'm seeing from Coach Brohm and WKU. Hope they take Ky. kids and do extremely well.

Is interesting to me that EKU and Murray EACH signed only 3 Ky. kids on signing day last year yet WKU is finding hidden talent and offering scholarships to them. Hopefully we'll start seeing the same from the in-state FCS schools.

(**In addition to the 6 who signed at EKU and Murray, 12 other Kentucky kids signed letters-of-intent with out-of-state FCS schools. I'd be interested to know how many of them had offers from EKU or Murray and if any of them were asked to walk on?)

Wasn't it more like 6 or 7 that signed with out of state FCS scholarship schools? I know there were several that signed with Dayton and in the Ivy League. I don't think any of those schools offer athletic scholarships.

Would be interesting to ratio the number of FCS/FBS commits with the total playing HS football in this class and compare to the powerhouse states like FL, OH, TX and CA.

Yes- Some of them that signed with out of state FCS schools did hold offers from the likes of Murray, Morehead, Austin Peay, etc....While the Ivy's and Dayton do not necessarily offer athletic scholarships they do have methods to entice those that are athletically gifted enough to play a sport at their university. The offers can be VERY attractive. The education is priceless.

While this is not a scholarship offer, Cameron Bailey from Lexington Catholic, Offensive Lineman (Center) was offered a preferred walk-on position from the University of Louisville. Not bad considering Louisville is now part of the ACC probably the 2nd best Conference next to the SEC. Opportunity to earn scholarship is there with hard work.

I don't know about the 2nd best conference the Big 10 may have something to day about that. Never the less the ACC is a strong conference. A preferred walk on means Lvle believes he is good enough to play D1 ball. They along with other schools will watch his progrss during the season and access their needs. It will just a matter of time before a D1 school offers scholarship. Good job young man.
