Bill Belechick, Patriots May Have Copy of NY Jets' Playbook

Featured Replies

If so, even sadder that the Jest beat the Pats last season.

Once a cheat "Spygate" always a cheat!

How are they cheats? Nothing says they stole one. If someone from the Jets misplaced one thats not the Patriots fault.

Sigh....Swing and a miss by Jumper.

Don't get in his way of a good bash by bringing facts into it.

Spin it how ever makes you fell better...

Well they have a history of cheating, why not think they may have went looking for a playbook too.

Their own players complained this year that they cheated on injury reports given to the NFL.

“I don’t put a lot of graduate-level information in it,” Pettine said. “We know in places like New England, it’s only a matter of time that they somehow mysteriously end up with our playbook.”

Does that quote make it sound like they just happen to find them, sounds like it is a common occurrence for them to end up with the other teams playbook.

You don't need the Jets playbook to beat them. They do a tremendous job of beating themselves!

Like the Pats need the Jets playbook to beat them. The Jets are awful. They couldn't beat the Pats if they had the NE playbook.

Besides, all of these teams know what the other is going to do in each game/situation. Too much history between them (district teams for sure) and film study going on.

Jets 30 Pats 27 10/20/2013

Almost all NFL playbooks are virtually the same. Nothing can really be gained from having one. Some of the terminology may be different, but same formations, concepts, blocking schemes. Defensively there is more diversity, but still there would be limited success to be gained from having a playbook as just watching the coaching tape and charting tendencies, calls, etc.

Yeah, they were penalized by losing a first round draft pick because they didn't do anything wrong.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. Bill Bellichick has been cheating ever since he got to New England, probably longer.

The constant spinning and denials by Pat fans are entertaining to say the least.

Sad thing is, these are just about the times he got busted, think about the many more things he has done that he didn't get caught doing
