BC...I admire your dedication to promote Tyler and Taylor and I'm sure they are very good players but without seeing either, I have a hard time believing they are the best guard and pg in the state.

 

Justice, Bolden, and Goodin, among others are just as good, if not better.

 

Tyler and Taylor are very good players. I wish they could play in events like this so folks outside central KY could see how good they are. It's hard to label anyone the best but I'd take these kids on my team any day of the week.

Absolutely. There are kids in every class that get significant amounts of recognition at an early age - and usually deservedly so. People need to be open minded and reevaluate each year. I can give examples from both the '15 and '16 classes where there are kids who have passed some of those type players - yet many stick with those same names and keep talking about them. There are a few obvious ones in the '15 class that aren't as good as a kid like Tyler, yet they continue to be household names and get more respect.

There is one kid in particular that I am a big fan of because of his potential but think other kids play harder and should get more recognition.

Only 6 kids are selected to play in both games.

 

Mcdonald wont be at tonight's game...which is crazy to me.

A parent made a really good point to me last night...either select 15 kids and do a true 5 man sub every time or sekect 7-8 kids and run it like a true game that the coach can sub however he wants.

If kids want to be noticed they have to play outside their region. High school coaches have an obligation, I believe, to get in the Louisville and and Lexington type tourneys to give their kids exposure. Then you have a real sounding board to compare them with the other elite kids in the stste. Until then, it will always be IF you could see them play.

I stand by comment. IMO Tyler is the best all around guard in the state and Taylor is the best Pure PG in the state. But that's just my opinion

If that is the case since they are playing on same AAU team as a combo, they should have won AAU State to prove the point.. Not putting any kid down but there is a lot of good kids at those positions. Each has there good & bad. My opinion is ranking kids put pressure on kids to hold up to what people think which cause them to make decisions that might not be there best interest when choosing where to play at the next level... The 2015 class is loaded, there are guys with great potential and the are guys who are truly gifted.. I don't think those guys separated themselves from the others. If they play the 6th,7th, 9th, and whatever the Lexington region and dominant night in/out they would earn that respect.

If I remember correctly nobody on the Ville could stop Tyler at state. Had like 15 at the half and for whatever reason hardly got the ball the 2nd half. Took maybe 2 shots. Alot of selfish play the 2nd half for Hoop Dreams. The Ville was the better team that day . They have been together for years. This was the first year for that HD team to play together. That makes a huge difference . The Ville has a very good team . They make you pay for every mistake. Love Evan Halls game. Needs to develop a outside jumper . Was really impressed by Will Parker. He is very underrated

Indiana up 53-50 at half! Bolden and Spaudling has played well for KY Jrs. They have not defended the high Ball Screen well. Indiana has "doubled"or "Hedged Hard" the ball screen and caused some turnovers. If KY can control the dribble penetration and eliminate some turnovers, they have a shot! Big problem will be fatigue! Only 9 man roster with one guy playing limited minutes.
