WOW:eek:

Bourbon does not play the favorite's role well. Three straight years.

Amazing win! Happy to see a team from the 38th in the Final!

This is honestly shocking. Thought Bourbon would pull through this year

This is what we had in our paper today about the game?

The Fillies (19-15-1) earned a spot in the finale with a 5-3 upset over 40th District winner Bourbon County in the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday night. The loss was the first regional setback of the year for the Lady Colonels (24-13), who won 19 straight games against region foes, before the season-ending loss.

With that little bit said looks like the paper wasn't prepared for this outcome either !!!

This is the Winchester paper and covers GRC games, but did include the second game, which Bourbon Co is in our district. Most papers only cover their teams.

Hannah Wagner started the 1st inning for Bourbon. That inning was the best inning for Harrison. Plated 4 runs that inning.....bats were on fire for the gaps.

Ariel Dailey came in for the rest of the game, Harrison still was able to make contact but not nearly as much as 1st inning.

Bourbon fell behind and Harrison did a sound defensive job to keep Bourbon from rallying.

Bourbon had numerous opportunities to catch up and go ahead in 4th, 6th and even the 7th but failed to execute.
