April 11, 201412 yr You really think the guy that is going to have by far the highest batting average on the team and by far the highest OBP and probably the highest or 2nd highest slugging % on the team wouldn't drive in runs if two guys that hit in front of him got on consistently? Their major problem is he's the only player that will get on at a high clip. That plus him being their best hitter is why he should hit 2nd. Nobody else can get on and Phillips and Bruce have enough power to score him. I AM AGREEING WITH YOU!!! How many times do I have to say it? I agree that in this situation, on this team, Votto should hit 2nd. Good grief.
