April 2, 201412 yr USF has a long way to go to catch UConn, Cincinnati and Memphis. That doesn't include SMU, Temple or incoming Tulsa if Danny Manning stays. Add in Houston with a deal for Kelvin Sampson in the works. Love Coach O, and think he will do really well. Contrary to popular narrative, this is a strong league and he will have a lot of work to do to be in contention for league titles... Great Avatar! You make some great points, the more I look at the league, it is pretty strong. Larry Brown has SMU relevant for the first time since Jon Koncak, I think he will stay put at his age, but it is Larry Brown. Tulsa seems to land great coaches, they just have a hard time retaining them. I think there is a lot of potential in the South Florida market, compounded with Antigua being a monster recruiter, he will put a jolt into that program.

April 16, 201412 yr I met Coach O. Coach Antigua threw out the first pitch at the Stetson/USF game this evening. I can say for sure he was not a baseball player, threw the ball straight into the ground to the 1st base side of home plate. Not pretty. When the game started, he and his brother, Oliver, sat down right next to me and Mrs. S. Between innings, I went over, introduced myself, and wished both of them good luck. I then told Coach O I was also a UK alum and thanked him for his time in Lexington. He lit up and really seemed to appreciate that. It was a very short encounter, but he seemed like a nice guy. It had been misting and had started to rain, so the Antiguas headed for cover. We were ponchoed up so we hung out where we were.
