BGP Get-Together - Some Informal Observations

Nice meet after Birdsfan's visitation this evening. Like everyone else, I hated the circumstances, but believe Dave would be happy to see the BGP fellowship.

 

Some of the following will be general observations. Some may even be BGP "mythbusters".

First off. Why is it that the women of BGP are such hotties and the men such a collection of mouth-breathing troglodytes? I don't understand.

Swamprat should travel with Mrs. Swamprat all the time. The threads were awesome, and there is little doubt that the missus had considerable input in the selection.

While it was dark by the time we left, I am fairly certain that Plantman does not drive a green penis wagon.

 

But again, it was dark.

Leatherneck - as I am sure he will acknowledge - outkicked his coverage.

As did Gametime.

 

And GT is not nearly as vertically challenged as I was led to believe on this board.

Although I already knew this, Clyde is considerably less athletic than his BGP persona might indicate at first blush.

Knowing the gentleman that Charlie is, he'll actually recall the story fondly. I also readily admit he is a much better player and I'm not good enough to be playing in that flight year-in and year-out.

Watusi ordered the combination platter. He was absolutely crestfallen to find that it did NOT consist of a mixture of Spam, cheese, mayonnaise and pickles. I actually felt sorry for the guy.

In all seriousness, it was ENTIRELY my pleasure to put so many faces to BGP usernames. I sincerely hope to meet again under happier circumstances. Although to everyone's credit, it was a truly friendly and happy group - just as our friend BF would want it.
