jericho
Does it matter if black Dems were targeted, they shouldnt have took the bribes to begin with. Pennsylvania Democrats were caught on surveillance tape reportedly accepting cash bribes in return for opposing voter ID in the Pennsylvania legislature. Gifts of Tiffany’s jewelry were also given to Democrat legislators from Philadelphia, reportedly in exchange for “NO” votes on a Pennsylvania voter ID bill that passed in 2012. Despite this evidence, Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane has not charged any officials. Kane is a Democrat. Kane’s excuse for her inaction? Racism: some of the legislators caught on tape accepting bribes were black Democrats from Philadelphia. From the Philadelphia Inquirer: In a statement to The Inquirer on Friday, Kane called the investigation poorly conceived, badly managed, and tainted by racism, saying it had targeted African Americans. Come on MC, you know there has never, ever been a Republican that ever considered taking a bribe, or done anything not on the up and up.
Jumper_Dad
OK guys come on, both sides do stuff wrong but are you both going to completely ignore this and just point and say "Look what they did"
mcpapa
You and rjs are correct. I was disappointed when the PA House Speaker was recorded saying essentially "Voter ID, Romney elected in PA, done".

But your still not saying your upset because of this or the lack of prosecution of the obvious crime. So you OK with what they did and then not getting punished for it? 75center
I don't care about the circumstances of the investigation or set up if you want to call it that; the AG's actions are sickening.
75center
As mentioned in the article, given the indictment of McDonnell, Holder's actions, or inaction, will be telling. Anyone willing to wager?

Republicans can do no wrong, and all Democrats are lying, thieving, unscrupulous idiots. Let's just stop pretending that the Republican way is the only way, and that they never do anything wrong. If there is a Republican who accepts a bribe post it and I'll condemn it. But you are trying to soften the blow by saying both sides are bad. The AG of of this state has evidence elected officials committed a crime and refuses to prosecute . To me it means the AG is unfit for office . That's one of the biggest issues in our country everybody wants to point out others deficiencies and never live up to their own. It would be different if the view was you (not you in particular) didn't thing they did anything wrong and wanted to defend their actions. But ignoring it based on well the other side did "this or that" doesn't advance dialogue in our country...and yes both sides are guilty of that. If the Bribe was taken, then the politician needs to be punished, and the AG is wrong for not doing so. My only point was that too many times here, examples like this are used to paint a picture that all liberals are bad. But the other side of the coin is rarely shown, despite the fact that there are just as many examples of wrongdoing. I've kinda had had it with just about all of our politicians
