Jacob Barnwell of Boyd County is a junior and already committed to Ohio State. This kid has crazy pop times.

It will be nce to see how the top 25 shakes out at the end of the season! Do they produce this year or just happen to fade away.

In my opinion, out of the 50 players listed there is at least 10 players who should not be ranked this high. It is a travesty that Adam Daria and Tristen Marcum are not on this list!

I completely agree those two not being in the top fifty is a travesty. I believe one of the players on this list could not beat Marcum out for #1 in summer ball pitching rotation.

2 very very good players. A lot may have to do with how they were used last year. Adam is a great player period. Tristen is one of my favorite pitchers but I think he wasn't used enough last year and is why some coaches probably didn't list him. Tristen should have a great year this year and will open a lot of eyes.

 

I don't have a dog in the fight at SK, but I know from watching them last year he was hardly used at times.

@Rocky and Malibu....I would agree and disagree with your statements. I think this is a very solid list for sure. Some kids that didn't make it on here that have been mentioned, I do feel should be on here. 1. Who knows what coaches were used and did they see every player? 2. I want to see how a kid reacts to some of the best in the state. I feel that PBR looks at projectability and also the make-up of the kid as they see them at that instant. I could be totally wrong on this, but this is JMO. Supporting cast for all these kids are huge. You start flip flopping some of these kids around on different teams, and I feel there could be a different outlook, good and not so good. That's why I mentioned PBR because I feel you get to see how the kid really grades out. Everyone has the same pressure then. Once again, solid group of kids and this is JMO!

 

IMO this list has more credibility than PBR when ranking players in the area. Considering this is a list compiled of coaches that actually watched these kids in game situations throughout the year.

Nate Verst has signed with Kentucky Wesleyan, not NKU.

Actually print version has correct info for Verst: Kentucky Wesleyan signee; 15-7 record last two seasons; .385 BA last year. Looks like info for Ganns was copy and pasted for Verst for some reason (sigh)...

I like Tristen a ton, just could of sworn he didn't pitch as much as he could have before the injury. Could be mistaken. I'd love to know how many starts he got.

Henry Kerns from Dixie, Tony LaCorte from St. Henry, and Ben Heppler from Cov Cath are all three good pitchers that could have been placed in that top 25 for sure! Can't wait to see what they do this season!
