While not for the "set an example" reason, I do agree that once sentenced, there should be very few delays in carrying out the sentence (except in the case of the death penalty). I can't help but feel if this were Joe Doe and no one knew him, there would have been no delays. I could consider an excpetion in the case of the death of a family member. But, that's about it, really. I do feel bad for his son, though.

 

As an inappropriate "funny" His son looks like he's 30, though.

Just read an article that Richie/lawyers asked a federal judge yesterday to delay his reporting date to March 25th.

Not yet 30, but I do think you will find he is older than most in his class. While living in Frankfort, I think he was home schooled one year. Then somehow lost a grade when returning to the public school system.

Since every parent in Ky who thinks their kid is a half-decent ballplayer redshirts them, he may be knocking on that door already. Richie was a redshirt in MS/HS as well, if I remember correctly. Seems logical he'd do the same for his boy if he thought it would better his chances to suit up for the 'Cats.

IIRC, he even attended Clay County High School for a year and didn't play. Also attended some grade school there as well. Definitely not a "transfer" if that's what we're going for.

I think you are very misinformed if you are being serious.
