Impressive numbers for Wilson. Great game by Holbrook. I've said all year for the Camels to win the offense has to run thru Holbrook.

Campbell County's first appearance in the 10th Region final since 2001 when they defeated the Royals 72-59.

Wilson's gonna be a beast in a couple of years. Almost as impressive as his stat-filling line was 8-10 from the charity stripe. Nice touch tonight - and by far the best game he's had in the limited number of games I've seen him play. Holbrook was a real floor general tonight - really stepped up when Jackson had to sit with foul trouble.

 

Harrison was down 5 with 1:50 to play; identical to their situation in their earlier tourney game against Clark County when they came back to win. I told my boy RP that Campbell wasn't going to allow a similar comeback.

 

It wouldn't be a huge shocker to see both of these teams in next year's semi or even final game. Both have A LOT coming back.

And I'm still scrarching my head over how TAC and jj managed to score seats on the second row of the media section. Something's rotten in Denmark.

This was a great warm up game to tonight's second game. It looked as Harrison was going to win this game were really playing well in the first half but Thompkins being in foul trouble all night seemed to never get in the flow of the game and that is what really was Harrison Co demise. To be at their best Thompkins has to be involved in the offense. IMO. He and Z. Pulliam will be big weapons next season along with Jenkins I think they are a serious contender for the 10th next season.

Corey Holbrook & Matt Wilson were the stars in this one. Holbrook was having his way in the 1st half getting to the basket & making plays for others. Love the intensity with which he plays the game. And Wilson was a force down low. Papa & I both commented that we knew he had a lot of rebounds, but neither of us imagined he was 1 away from 20. Jackson also played well down the stretch & helped seal the win.

 

Breds played decent, but it hurt not getting much from Trenton Thompson. I felt for the kid. Played only 13:40 on the night & just never got in sync because of foul problems. It might be a different outcome if he can stay on the floor. He gives Harrison County a quality inside/outside threat. As TAC mentioned, Dillon Pulliam was great in the 1st half, but Campbell made things difficult for him in the 2nd half. D.J. Jenkins had a solid game & continues to impress me a little more each time I see him.

 

Camels shoot 52.8% from the floor for the game & Breds shoot 40.4%. That was pretty much the difference in this one.
