This shouldn't be an issue.

Tossing the top player in the region when 1 T is for hanging on the rim? Sounds great on the surface.

Exactly what fans paid to see. It's why we fill gyms.

Does anyone have any video of the dunk and the hanging on the rim?

I would like to see it too and what happened next to get the second T.

Will still win. 5th region officials are awful. Have no business doing Louisville games. Did last years games and all they did was call T's.

Are you sure it was the 5th Region officials?

I ask because the 5th and 6th Regions play in the opening round of the Sweet 16 and I can see how that would be seen as a conflict of interest.

6th and 7th Region officials are usually really good, so you have to wonder if this would have happened in a regular season game. You just hope it isn't something that has a huge effect on outcomes.

5th foul was his 2nd T. Ejected. Two games.

When did the 2 game suspension go into effect?

Must sit the next two games. What it shows is a lack of consistency in officiating across the state. 6th & 7th region officials let teams play more and don't call T's on players without warning them first or working with them or the coach. 5th region officials just jump right in and call a T in this tournament. Exception was Fairdale Bullitt Central game when Centrals Center got warnings on three different occasions with no T. Last years tournament had more T's than any I have ever seen. There is no consistency across the board. Now you have a top player not playing.

Two game suspension went into effect last year. It does not matter what they were for---there is no appeals process. At least, that is if the powers that be are consistent from sport to sport and school to school.

The technical was for hanging on the rim. And it was a terrible call. The dunk came off an offensive rebound with Harris coming full speed down the court. If he did not hang, his momentum would have likely caused him to all on his back. The three officials all looked at each other following the dunk to determine if they should call it or not. The second technical was for something he said. Hard to tell from the stands what it was---still have to be smarter at that point.

The game was very poorly called (as was the BE/BC game, though not quite as bad). Several blatant fouls and violations were not called, and then there would phantom calls. Both teams point guards were in foul trouble throughout.

It was good to see the PRP/Doss rivalry renewed a bit. I had not seen Doss have that many fans at a game since the Derek Anderson days of the early 90s. While PRP probably deserved to win, Doss scrapped to stay in the game. A few makes on some open shots in the 1st quarter would have had quite an impact.

Jason Frakes ‏@kyhighs 2m Just got word from KHSAA: PRP's Lamontray Harris must serve 2-game suspension for his ejection Friday. Ineligible for regional final. #loubb

PRP's coach is upset that the kid will miss the game(s) but it is the rule. Manual's girl's coach had to sit out 2 games in the state tournament after being ejected in the regional final last year. Sorry the kid won't play but glad the KHSAA didn't back off. It would have set a bad precedent.

Someone on Twitter said the T was not for hanging on the rim. It was because the kid slapped the backboard with both hands after he dunked.

That's a T.

I've also seen people on twitter say the first T wasn't warranted. I'd love to see video.

Here's the thing, even if the first one wasn't warranted you don't do ANYTHING to put yourself in the position to have a second one called on you. If after the first one the coach didn't explain in great detail to the kid that another got him ejected then the coach didn't do his job. I hear the second one came after he cussed when called for a foul he didn't think he committed. Sorry but that's stupid. Heat of the moment and all but still stupid.

It was warranted. He dunked. Pulled himself up on the rim, then slapped the backboard with 2 hands. It was a great play that didn't require any added antics. Then he cursed at an official on a play when they would've had the ball. Do the crime, do the time. I hope he learns from this. He really is a great player.

totally agree. The kid has to use his head and realize he already has a T and officials are going to have a short leash with him. No matter what keep your mouth shut and not do anything to get another T and ejected. Hope it doesn't end up costing PRP. Would like to see D Lo get to rupp
