Wanted to make sure this got out to BGP. This promises to be a terrific night and an exciting "kicking off" point to the proposed new stadium. Hope to see you there!

HOLD THE DATE: 2014 SportsFest - Friday, March 14, 2014....

Covington Catholic High School: SportsFest

I haven't been to a CCH Sportfest in a while. They are well done and a fun time.

In the new stadium proposal, are they entertaining lights? I am sure this has been brought up in the past. Any insight would be appreciated.

There's a whole thread about it in the Premium Members forum. Take the dive and shell out the 20 bones.

Yes, hence the "Friday Night Lights" theme and the "See CovCath Sports in a Whole New Light" theme.

Absolutely- and then some. Very exciting plans coming out.

Are the new facilities a "for sure" or a "proposed" or "possibility" as mentioned above and in the link. Or is it based on how much money raised and see what we can afford?

Bottom line- the intent is to raise enough to have them built this year in time for the fall sports. Nothing is for sure, but if you or anyone else you know has a vested interest in the immediate and long term future of Cov Cath, I urge you to get down to Sportsfest and see the plans and participate at the ground level. Very exciting future.

How did this event go the other night. I spoke with an attendee and he was telling me CCH is selling seat licensing. Wow! Creative way of raising money at the high school level. Does that license give you the right to all events all year or a particular sport?

Yes. "The 50 Yard Line Gang"

$2,500 for a reserved seat near the 50 yard line with your name embossed in it while you hold the license. Includes seat license and tickets for you to attend all football, soccer, and lacrosse games for the next 5 years, invitation to a groundbreaking ceremony, invitation to a reception prior to the first game in the newly renovated stadium, and an option to buy a reserved parking space for all of the games.

Sports Fest was a good time, for sure. Well worth my trip up from Louisville.
