November 12, 201411 yr Ukraine Accuses Russia Of Sending Dozens Of Tanks Into Its Territory Amid rising tensions and fresh violence, Ukrainian authorities on Friday accused Russia of sending dozens of its military vehicles into its territory -- though the Kremlin have knocked down such reports as unfounded and "provocative." At a briefing Friday, Ukrainian defense spokesman Andriy Lysenko said that 32 tanks, 16 D-30 howitzers and 30 KamAZ heavy trucks crossed past a border checkpoint and headed toward the volatile Luhansk region on Thursday. November 12, 201411 yr He's doing whatever he wants at this point and no one in Europe will say so much as "Boo" to him. In fairness to Europe, the US really hasn't done much either. Supposedly much of Russian media is making fun of the US and Obama saying he doesn't have a backbone.
November 12, 201411 yr In fairness to Europe, the US really hasn't done much either. Supposedly much of Russian media is making fun of the US and Obama saying he doesn't have a backbone. The US will have a tough time doing anything with Germany and Angela Merkel talking out of both sides of their collective mouths about how aggression won't be tolerated but we need to work together with Russia to solve problems. Our own allies don't want problems. Makes it tough on us. The Russian media makes fun of lots of things. It's the consequence of having a press that takes its cues from a raving lunatic.
November 12, 201411 yr ^ agreed! Their press can't say anything really hard against Putin, so they have to do something. Also, it's easy for Putin, and it has nothing to do with Obama. With a little thing called oil, which Russia has a lot of, and Europe needing that oil especially during winters, it makes things a lot easier for Putin, even when the sanctions may be working.
November 13, 201411 yr More great news about Russia. Russian bomber patrols to reach Gulf of Mexico Oil and Natural Gas are Russia's strongest products for its economy. The US will probably have to put environmental concerns aside for national security and start the Keystone Pipeline, start looking at Alaska and off shore to drive down crude oil prices as a threat to Russia should Putin not chill out. Reagan acted similarily in the 80's to put the Soviet Union in a bad position by leaning heavily on Saudi Arabia to increase production to drop oil prices and that helped bring the Soviet Union to its knees.
