The players definitely get to keep them. Very cool, and it's always a surprise to see what the Art students draw up for Senior Night. Traditionally, they're not revealed until the night of the game.

What I like is how the kids put more in the art work than just basketball. Example, in Heps there was a baseball diamond, in Nate's they made his brain huge and books in his hand (Wick is a National Merit Finalist), my guy Kyle had a ton of numbers throughout his art work (stats guy) and Mark had his fins and teeth. The players throughout the years have all loved them and look forward to them.

They sang the National Anthem at last year's Sweet Sixteen Championship game also!

 

What is awesome, is that three of the basketball team members are in the Chamber Choir and they were in uniform singing.

CCH has one of the best coaching staff's ever assembled in 9th region basketball. Getting Joe to come on board was brillant by Coach Ruthsatz. Watch Joe during warm ups, he is under the basket rebounding for the kids, pulling CVH and Ruthsatz to the side for one on one instructions. When he chest bumped CVH in the Ryle game after 2 steals on the time out was priceless. The players gravitate to them, I guess he would have my attention, when a 40-something year old man can still take any player on the team to the woodshed!

 

I was at a Covcath open gym before the season started one Saturday and watched him school the current Covcath players. Dude can still play and run the floor.
