No doubt about it. Although I couldn't make it to last night's game, I saw NCC play twice in the King of the Bluegrass. They're big, skilled and well-coached.

What I've seen of Trinity's problems that would keep them from winning a state title haven't changed all season: poor free throw shooting and a bizarre tendency to miss point-blank shots around the rim. It's cost them in big games all season and they'll be the things that bite the Shamrocks at the end.

Was looking forward to seeing you there last night. :(

Both teams had their "fair share" of these last night, but the Rocks seemed to have more. Spaulding's wide-open missed dunk only exemplified it.

Last-minute offer of UofL tickets... very close to the floor... couldn't pass them up.

I could've.

I wouldn't have.

I'm a Breds fan, but having seen CovCath play twice including the half game with NCC, I have a hard time calling NCC the favorite. Ruthsatz' penetration ability, their overall outside shooting, quickness, & depth counter NCC's superior inside game such that the outcome is 50/50 to me.

Newcath is on another level right now. They are THE favorite. Newcath is more than just McDonald and Schulte inside. Grant Moeves has elevated his game to another level in his recent starting role and Pangallo/T Moeves are as good as they come in this region.

Ben Weyer is also playing extremely well right now.

As good as the Colonels are playing, Newcath is still a step ahead.

Really going to miss Craig Owens' play at Trinity when he graduates. What he gives up in height, he makes up in hustle and strength.

Dude is tough. Built like a D1 linebacker. He attacked the rim early and had success then in the second half was a non factor and didn't look for his shot anymore? Not sure why.

Thanks for the highlights, Walter. Good stuff, as usual!
