Anything and everything at Corida is in question...on just about every level.

It is rumored that a player at Bryan Station filmed a Mike Allen tirade at halftime that showed inappropriate language towards the players. He has been suspended indefinitely for verbal abuse. I'm guessing, since this is not the first time, that he will be relieved. If this comes to reality, does Jaron Brown get the job or do they open it up????

Jaron Brown coached them through the last few weeks of the season after the whole Allen incident went down.

Any word on where they stand as far as interviews and hiring goes?

I'd imagine that the hiring of Brown isn't much more than a formality, but who knows.

 

To the best of my knowledge, there haven't been any other candidates with his credentials who've expressed a serious interest, but admittedly, I'm not very familiar with many others who might have applied.

Talked about this Saturday at AAU practice and neither the kids nor the parents had anything to report.

 

Both the kids and the parents like and support Jaron for the job. It will come down to some administrators' opinions, which has been the undoing at Bryan Station for some time. Surely a lot of coaches would jump at the chance to move their family to Lexington and compete in the 11th region. When Lafayette hired Mendenhall 3 years ago they got a coach with no head coaching experience, but he had many years as an assistant at LexCath and had been teaching at Lafayette for a long time. So we'll see how the wind blows.

 

Some have commented on here that a coach needs leeway, but a line can be crossed. Without giving specifics, I've spoken with several of the parents there who spent lots of time in locker rooms in their days and wanted this change. Wherever you set the line, it was crossed.
