Trinity 63 Seneca 40

I believe this was the final score. This was the fourth time this season the district matchup was scheduled for Steinhauser Gymnasium. Seneca never threatened after the first four minutes. It didn't take long to count the gate receipts. :banghead:

Seneca has had 5 coaches in 5 years. Went down the tubes after Steve Sargeant left. Now he has Apollo fighting for a spot in the Sweet 16.

Alex Bozich has reported that Indiana is showing "heavy interest" in Ray Spalding.

Must have been impressed last night then, Spalding had one field goal and 2-4 from the line following a 4-11 night from the line at E-twon.

I thought Sargeant underachieved a little at Seneca. He had a lot of talent between 2008-2011 and never really threatened in the region.

Does your haterrade taste good? He's still no where near 100%. Also he has to have the ball in order to refer attempts. How many possessions did he not even touch the ball? You need to be on Szabo's case not Spalding's.

You really need to stick to X. There is at least one glaring inaccuracy in your post.

Part of the problem was the district. Trinity, Ballard and Seneca. I remember one year all three where top 10. It makes it hard to get out. Also when he was at Seneca Eastern had 4-5 D1 players. They also had not split the 6th and 7th region to balance it out more, like it is now. It was arguably harder to get out of the 7th region then to win state.

All good points!

I just recall the one year he had Nance, McElwain, the brothers who transferred from New York, and Montrez Harris? A nice collection of talent!

Yes, but Trinity had Josh Sewell, Daniel Corbett, Alex Kupper, & Taylor Eppley, not to mention the sophomores (Deudione, Saxton, Foster, Quick) they had that year that ended up winning state two years later.

Ballard had Keiston Jones, Tyrrell Means, Ian Chiles, Devante Parker and others. Ballard went to state title game and lost to Shelby Valley.

Seneca didn't stand a chance of even making it out of the District that year.
