Weather permitting Mason Co will travel to GRC to take on the Cards Friday night. Mason should have the rebounding advantage. Can Mason's guards handle King?

Your thoughts and predictions.

I think Mason County can run enough guys in and out at guard to at least slow King down. Think Mason Countys Forwards will rule the game. Mason County- 68 GRC- 62

Mason will have played a tough one the night before vs. Campbell County, providing there's no cancellation. Clark County is a hard place to come in and win - just ask Montgomery County.

Papa says that Clark will try a desperation three from halfcourt at the buzzer in a close one, get the foul and sink three charity tosses to win 56-55.

Should be a dandy. I'm go with:

Mason County 60

George Rogers Clark 57

GRC will have to play all 4 quarters to get the win. Most of the season we have played well 2 quarters. In the MoCo game we played well for 3 quarters and had as much as a 14 point lead........ and then the 4th quarter did us in. Question is can GRC put together the offensive power? Who will step up for the Cards? Defense is there.

That seems to be GRC in a nutshell.

Agree. I really liked our scoring in the MoCo game, think we had 4 players in double figures, just needed more the 4th quarter. Improvements can be made by making the easy shots that we seem to miss for some reason. Finally win the close ones( all but 1 game has been close and winable) so that it will give the team some confidence.

I'm interested in seeing Mason Co play. If GRC plays with the same energy they had against Montgomery Co, I expect they'll stay in the game. Don't know if they can overcome the size and depth of Mason though.

Trying to decide if I want to take this one in or not. Should be a great game.

Does Clark County have any size? I remember last year them being fairly small.

Basically same group as we had last year. We are small, but still seem to rebound with the big boys. Kids just play with lots of heart.

Come on over. I should be with my group this week, behind the visitors bench.

I hope you're right. I'm planning to make the trip as it'll be my first chance to watch Mason Co.

This has to be one of the greatest rivalries in Ky High School Basketball.

It is big, but not as big as MoCo and GRC IMO. The place was packed last week for the MoCo game. I don't expect that large of a crowd tonight......mainly the lack of the Mason Co fans.
