Glasgow 53 Danville 43 All "A" State Finals

Glasgow is a very nice team, was a joy watching them play.

Congrats Scotties on the Championship

Congrats to Glasgow for bringing home the gold. A big tip of the cap to Danville. A very tough and gritty team that just doesn't quit. Had they won it would have been three come from behind wins in a row. Don't know if anyone has done that in the all A before. Maybe that would be a good question for an upcoming event at the Frankfort Convention Center for free tixs.

Just remember this is an All A School Tourney, not a State Championship.

State Championship....state championship....state championship....state championship.

Glasgow is All A State Champs! Yahoo! State champs...state champs!

I don't know what it is about telling someone not to do something. :lol2:

On a more serious note...Congrats to Glasgow on their little school state-wide tournament win! (wink wink).

Where did he post that it was the state championship? Don't all tournaments have a tournament champion?

congrats

I like the idea of the All A tourney...

keeps us from going to the dreaded classes that have ruined basketball in other states

Our Sweet 16 is so special

Great job by the hustling lady ads team. Down 2 with around 2 minutes to play. I didn't think they would have that much left in the tank after their last 2 games. Glasgow was definitely the better team. Still I am super excited about this little team. If they had the size to match their determination, they would be dangerous.

Both teams left it all on the court today, was a pleasure to watch. :ylsuper:

Great win Glasgow. Really enjoy watching the undersized Danville team play. They play very hard and never gave up. This is a State Championship for the small schools!! Not sure how KHSAA gets away with having classes for some sports and not others. Either all sports need classified or non of them, seems only fair.

Very happy for Danville that they made it to the finals but I couldn't disagree more. All the sports that crown one champ have it right. To compare the other sports to football is what isn't fair. Other than football, track and cross country what other sports have classes? In this world of everybody gets a trophy....KHSAA has done a great job IMO.

You must be missing something. There is only one KHSAA state champ per year. The All A is an invitational tournament no different than being invited to Lex Cath invitational or the Mike Swauger tourney. And if you say it is different because not all teams have the ability to get invited, than do you have issues with non Lousiville teams not being invited to the LIT? It's a great event for small schools and a huge accomplishment because 125 teams compete in it. Congrats to Glasglow.

It seems really sad that "Big" school supporters get on here complaining about the ALL A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. Why would you truly care if they have their own tournament? Private schools aside you are admitting that you have no idea how hard it is to build a competitive program with a 1/5th of the girls or less than larger schools have to choose from. To me it just makes Kentucky High School Basketball even more special.
