New Black Keys album coming out in a few weeks. Fever sounds a bit poppish to me but not bad. They don't have much of their raw sound left from the early albums.

Been on a real math rock kick lately. Can't stop listening to these guys in particular...

 

 

Thanks for posting this. I had never heard of "Wiretree" before, and this tune prompted me to dig deeper. Real nice. For a while it was driving me crazy about who this guy sounds like. After a bit of digging in my brain, it came to me that he's sorta like a cross between Jeremy Messersmith and Elliott Smith. Not exactly, but with that same nice peaceful tone in his voice.

Glad you like it. I kind of found Wiretree by accident. Just fyi, if you like the sound there are 4-5 more good songs on that album ("Bouldin"). Check it out for free on Spotify...that's what I do. There's another really good band The Western States Motel that I found a few months ago and I posted one of their videos earlier in this thread. Check out their self titled album. It's a good listen.
