April 12, 201412 yr Campbell County Grad & Cold Springs, Ky native Daniel Martin Moore writes melodies of gold with a voice as smooth as silk. He got noticed the old fashioned way by mailing SubPops Records a 4 song self-recorded disc in a yellow envelope that originally sat on their desk for a while 'til someone had the presence of mind to have a listen while taking a drive. The rest is history. Daniel has been bending ears and soothing souls ever since. You can't go wrong with any of his songs. Here's just one of them and probably not nearly even his best.
April 12, 201412 yr Discovered this guy "Jeremy Messersmith" form Minneapolis by accident as he was the warmup artist in the old Southgate House in Newport about 5 years ago in the little upstairs parlor. Was instantly mesmerized by his voice and melodies. With no delay, bought from him his, at the time, two available releases. Never regretted plopping down more money that night than I expected to from a $5 show. Very nice dude. I'll try to resist posting every song that he's ever sung, but if these tempt you, don't hesitate to dig deeper. You will not be disappointed.
April 12, 201412 yr If this has never been on your radar, Neutral Milk Hotel's release is a complete original underground masterpiece lead by emotionally moody man recluse Jeff Mangum. They dropped this on the world and 1998, toured it, and promptly disappeared out of site until coming back to tour again within the last year or two for anxiously awaiting cult fans, selling out shows worldwide. Them disappearing only increased their lure and spawned an ever growing fan base. Key Tracks: In the Aeroplane Over the Sea Oh Comely May perplex you at first, then will eat your emotions alive.
