Whaddya Spinning? — YouTube Style

Since AA was complaining about us posting slow-loading vids in the album update thread, why not get this one going and he'll know to steer clear (sorry buddy :D)

Always loved this tune, by a great, great songwriter:

Aimee Mann — "That's Just What You Are"

Heard this on the radio last night:

And since that last one was kind of dark, I'll give you this:

Here's a band that tragically left too early, but did leave behind some great music. Lead singer Mark Sandman died on stage, leaving in about as rock'n'roll a way as possible. This tune is from the posthumous final album.

I've been listening to Daughter a lot lately. I caught wind of them maybe a year and a half ago when they were working on circulating their "His Young Heart" EP. Elena's voice, not entirely dissimilar to Patty Griffin's in tone and timbre, is one of the prettiest female voices out there right now. (She's not all too bad on the eyes either.) The song "Landfill", which starts around the 4:25 mark in the video, is one of their best - but they've got a lot of gooders.

I've been going back through the archives of the Chris Gethard Show lately and found this gem. It's the perfect blend of energetic, pointless, funny and awkward to fall right in my wheelhouse.

Still can't figure out how to do this.

On the normal YouTube page, you can either just copy the URL, or go to the "Share" tab beneath the video and then highlight, copy, and paste the URL it gives you under that tab. Then you go to your post menu here on BluegrassPreps and then click on the "Insert Video" icon. Then you just paste the URL into the window that pops up, click "OK" and then submit your post.

Thanks to you and Getslow. Sorry I'm blowing up this thread. If a mod has time feel free to clean all this video posting crap out of this thread.

Since seeing this movie, the soundtrack has been in constant rotation for the last few weeks.

While looking for other versions of songs appearing in "Inside Llewyn Davis" I found this clip of a performance of "The Auld Triangle". This just happened to be the final public appearance of founding member of The Dubliners, Ciaran Bourke, who recites the poem at the beginning. Tons of Irish superstars in the room, including the Pogues, Christy Moore, and U2. In less than a year, Bourke would be dead from the health problems that plagued him for over a decade.
