Raatz Fence Tournament - Louisville

Featured Replies

Tourney starts tonight. NDA plays. Do you know of other NKY teams heading down? Will more weather coming in spoil another weekend of sports?

NDA plays Ballard tonight and Louisville Butler tomorrow..

Sacred Heart will play Anderson Co tomorrow

Should be some good games

2 top nationally ranked teams will be there as well

I am headed there tonight barring weather...my sister better have some hot chocolate waiting for me

I don't know if the SHA/Anderson will be a good game. I heard last night they were missing 3 starters in their win against Waggener last evening.

won't matter anyway. Games tomorrow won't be played.

Weather?

yea...If half of what they say is coming comes, nobody is traveling tomorrow.

This winter's weather was, is, and looks to continue being a bear on the current basketball season. I bet the teams from out-of-town who arrive on Friday may still want to play on Saturday, if at all possible. How it all plays out will be very interesting - teams, officials, fans, etc. moving about may become very tricky for all parties. Too bad, as so much work and planning has gone into such a good event. I don't know about anyone else, but all this global warming is wearing me out -- especially when I am shoveling it.

NDA is staying in Louisville tonight....so is Twinsburg OH and St joseph of Huntington WV

I assume the games may be played...NDA is planning on it

Pandas played a real good Ballard team tonight and came from behind at half by six to win it..Ballard had a tough time getting ball inside..Haley Smith and Elly Ogle saw to that. Oglel had a double double..don't know exact numbers..heard coach commenting afterwards

Was impressed with #20 of Ballard (madchen) #34 (Lafield) and #24 (patterson)

I would rate Ballard and Sacred Heart the best teams the Pandas have played outside the 9th region

Pandas play Butler tomorrow

coaches went over to assumption to watch Butler after the game

I stayed and watched the other two games

2nd game ws Mercy vs Twinsburgh OH...Twinsburgh won by about 15

3rd game was Anderson co against St Joseph WVA...St Joseph has 3 D-1 kids...#11 made 7 3pointers and #12scored a bundle of points...12 last name is Johnson and is going to nOtre Dame...#11 is going to UNC Charlotte...The 3rd kid hurt her knee or ankle and did not play much...I think she is going to evansville according to a parent

St Joseph won easily 71-56

Made a ton of 3 pointers

Anderson co looked flat..Mckee and cann scored most of their points

Thanks for the updates. Nice win by the Pandas. They seem to be putting it together at the right time.

Jefferson County has cancelled events for today so NDA will now be playing the Twinsburg, OH team at 2pm instead of Butler at 12:30pm.

Good luck and stay safe

Pandas played slow down last night. I don't believe they had any fast break points. Neither did Ballard. Ogle and Kellam really handled ball pressure and drew fouls from aggressive defenders. Smith owned the inside for NDA and made big plays including defending the game tying shot. Clemons played smart defense and closed the middle of the zone. Hellman and Stallman made open 3's. NDA only had 5 fouls in second half. Henderson and Schuh gave them quality minutes. This was the best team effort for them this year!

New revised schedule for Raatz Fence Tournament after snow:

Jason Frakes: @kyhighs: New Raatz Fence lineup at Mercy: CAL-NBull, 12:30; NotreDame-Twinsburg, 2; Mercy-SJ, 3:45; SHA-Bullitt East, 5:15; Incarnate Word-Blackman,7

How bad are the roads in Louisville?
