January 22, 201412 yr It was mentioned that the Big Ten had won ONE National Title in the last 24 years...that seemed amazing but thinking about it I knew it was correct, MSU in 2000 is the only Title for the once Most Dominant Basketball Conference in America. Looked at the last 20 years (since many of our posters don't go back much further than that) and found another interesting fact. SEC.......... 6 Titles 3 Runner-ups ACC.......... 5 Titles 3 Runner-ups Big East..... 5 Titles 1 Runner-ups Big 12....... 1 Titles 2 Runner-ups PAC.......... 2 Titles 2 Runner-ups Big 10....... 1 Titles 5 Runner-ups Edited January 22, 201412 yr by Jumper_Dad

January 22, 201412 yr I suck today. I was going by last 24 years in reading the first sentence. I will suspend myself.
January 22, 201412 yr The easy answer (though maybe not so easy for the SEC cheerleaders) is that conferences don't win titles, teams do.

January 22, 201412 yr Umm...How were 22 titles won in the last 20 seasons? I knew my math was going haywire when I started accounting for 24 years. I kept thinking, this just doesn't feel right :lol2:
January 22, 201412 yr Corrected first post had Big East 1 low and Big 12 1 High At least I had something right
