Obama: People don't like me because I am black

Featured Replies

What I find humorous is that Fox was all over the stories in November '12 involving certain precincts in Chicago or Philly that cast hundreds of votes for Obama and ZERO votes for Romney. My friends, such does not happen with an uninformed electorate, because an uninformed electorate will at least cast a handful of votes for the wrong person. No, these voters are pretty savvy politically.
Who said they were uninformed?

I have ear plugs. I can see your mouth move, but don't hear a thing. I've been married 20 years, I got this.

By the way, can't wait to finally meet eyeball to eyeball.

There was some discussion earlier about people "voting blindly." The comment was in reference to that.

Gotcha

It will definitely be nice to put a face with the username. :D

You and every other employed person posting on this board is one merger, one "whoops" e-mail, one pink slip away from becoming a "citizen on assistance."

I grew up in a middle class/ lower middle class neighborhood in Covington. Where I am I payed my way and worked hard to get here. If I hit another bump in the road I have confidence I'd be just fine .

I disagree. If your idea of a "hard" answer is a prejudicial answer based on racial stereotypes, then you're right. If your idea of a "hard" answer involves data and is logically sound then I think any complaints will be petty.

Wasn't talking race at all, but the answer can be portrayed that way anytime you say urban vs rural. My point was in the post I posted after. Where people growing up in urban areas are more likely to already have government in their lives in a large way , where as rural citizens grow up with much less government intervention and would like it limited. I think urban citizens are addicted to government control regradless of race.

It was statisically impossible for that to happen .

Talk about gross generalizations...

I have no problem with that either. As a matter of fact, I had an assistant who had to quit because if she worked over 32 hours at her wage she would lose some of her benefit for her children. So, I'm not oblivious to that part of the demographic. But back to the original point, do you think that, regardless of the basis for the necessity of assistance, that it effects how one would vote?

I'm in agreement with you. Shoot, it's not just those on assistance either. I vote based on what will best serve my own interests and help me be better off than I am at present. I think it's naïve to say others don't do the same. As a matter of fact, IMO it'd be dumb not to vote for the candidate who's policies will help your personal situation the most.

Talk about gross generalizations...

Are there not bigger governments in Urban area's? More government programs?
