Fern Creek 55 Bullitt East 52 (LIT)

How 'bout them SETH rankings?

So much for the No. 1 ranking.

Underrated. Bullitt East beat them by 1 earlier. Hoptown beat them by 2. 12-4 record. Not bad.

LIT has some good games. Wished I lived closer to go to some of them.

Fern Creek is very impressive. Felt bad to see the Troutman kid go down at the beginning of the 3rd quarter. He had tears in his eyes. Must be a bad injury.

Fern Creek High School laid its firmest brick yet in the boys’ basketball rebuilding job of first-year coach James Schooler, making the semifinals of the Louisville Invitational Tournament for the first time in 10 years.

The Tigers got 12 points apiece from Demetrius Stanton, Shawn Best and Daylin Johnson and played with high energy from the start in knocking off top-seeded Bullitt East 55-52 in the quarterfinals of the at Valley High.

What happened to Troutman?

Looked like he rolled his ankle, but when he was down, he was holding his shin. Maybe a high ankle sprain? It didn't say in today's newspaper, but the coach commented that it doesn't look good.
