Like last year's Cooper team, they won't blow the lights out on the score board but they do know how to grind games out defensively. There it was at end of 3rd qtr. How can Bolden shoot foul shots with no one lined up on the lane. There has to be "some" time on the clock at the time of the foul. I thought Cooper by rules has to have someone on the foul lane.

It was correct. There doesn't have to be time left because the clock never stops at the exact same time as the whistle. So whistle before the horn. Horn immediately follows. By rule the clock cannot be changed UNLESS there is an official that has absolute knowledge of the time. So in this case you clear the lane, shoot the FTs, end the quarter.

The announcers say "I don't know what I'm missing." I can answer that. Rule knowledge. It's not basket interference just because they made contact with the backboard on an attempted block.

I understand what you are saying. It just doesn't make any sense to me. The official has to have absolute knowledge that he blew his whistle before the horn went off or he blew it after the horn went off and no foul.

Again, he knew he blew it before the horn went off. He doesn't have to see the clock to know that.

There is no way possible for the clock guy to stop the clock before it goes off when the foul happens at 0.1 or .2 . So the horn goes off before an official can look up and see how much time is on the clock. So, by rule, the shooter shots 2 because he was fouled before the horn and the quarter is then over.
