KY Boys Basketball: Week 6

1. Covington Catholic ( 9 ) 152

2. Newport Catholic ( 6 ) 146

3. Holmes ( 1 ) 121

4. Brossart 99

5. Dixie Heights 88

6. Boone County 64

7. Simon Kenton 63

8. Cooper 39

9. Campbell County 36

10. Ryle 33

Others: St. Henry 19, Newport 9, Conner 5, Ludlow 5, Bellevue 1

Looks good.

I can't disagree with the top 3 as based on their records against each other (1-0 CCH, 0-0 NCC, 0-1 Holmes) it makes sense. That will get sorted out further with the Holmes/NCC game and the completion of CCH/NCC (if it happens).

As for 4-10 I have only seen Ryle and Dixie so I cannot comment on their placements.

Looks about right. Interesting that Holmes got one first-place vote. What does that coach know that the rest of us don't?

I think it is hard to argue with the poll as it stands. 16 coaches voted this week, seems to go up every week. Maybe coaches are more comfortable after seeing more teams play? Cooper is far below the 5,6,7 slots but get to make their plea as they get Simon, Holmes, Boone and Campbell over the next 4 games. Seems like all of the big boys are going at each other while the small schools are doing their All A events. Lots of good hoops coming up.

KY Boys Basketball: Week 6

1 Bellevue 1

What?

Bellevue is 7-3 so someone gave them some love.

Bellevue is 7-3 so someone gave them some love.

I'm sure it was not Beechwood's coach who beat Bellevue by 12.

No argument here.

Bellevue is 7-3 so someone gave them some love.

Lost to BW by 12.

Lost to Bracken by 29.

That is some serious love given to them.

It wasn't Beechwood's ballot

Looks good.

I keep waiting for Ryle to climb up the ladder a little. They beat Cooper and SK and kept it close against Boone and Dixie.

As well as, a 9 point loss to state #2 Scott Co.
