Good to see other players stepping up in scoring besides Bolden and Chames. They will need that moving along.

This is just a hunch as I didn't see either of the Bulldog's last 2 games, but since Bolden had most of his scoring in the 2nd half in both of those games, I'm thinking that after losing to CovCath, the coaches have designed the last two games in such a way to do more in an effort to create more options from them than just what we saw from them against the Colonels.

Might as well considering who they played, as it was a chance to work on some stuff for the whole team, and not just a few players.

Holmes obviously is putting an emphasis on getting McClendon more involved offensively from the get-go. That might have been part of the game plan vs. CovCath, but the soph guard had to sit most of the first half due to early foul trouble.

Curious as to why Holmes would drive all this way on a Saturday to play this team. What's in it for them?

A little birdie told me it was to get Bolden some exposure for next years Mr. Basketball! Hey not the messenger, just reporting what I was told from a credible source at Holmes!

I figured it must be that and , if so, great idea. Exposure certainly helps the cause.

When utilized to the fullest the Bulldogs are loaded with options. Housely too can really stroke it. Avery, Glover, and Hill can be a big help. I haven't seen enough of Herndon to see what he's capable of, but it's apparent they have faith in him. Brolly, Covington, Arnold and the other hurt big kid can be nice contributors as well.

When they're clicking on all cylinders they can be seriously tough.

Look at the schedule of other teams in this event...that speaks for itself as to why Holmes would make this trip. If you have a chance to play in one of the top events held in this state, you don't pass it up.

You drove how many hours to play an average team. The rest is fluff. I'm all for exposure for Beatle. But playing "in" a tourney with strong teams but not playing one of the strong teams means you drove a long way to watch other good teams play.

Holmes is still a work in progress, unlike CC and NCC.

Nothing wrong with playing in an event to get your team and star player exposure. Teams with big time plsyers but bad teams do it all the time. (Obviously Holmes doesnt fit that category but you g e t my point). Do you have a better suggestion of who they should have played today? They didn't make the schedule. They accepted the invite and the event organizers matched them up with the in state and host team.

I've already said multiple times IN THIS THREAD I'm cool if exposure if the reason. If it wasn't for that it was a wasted day IMO. They certainly didn't play a team that made them better.

I was told by a Holmes player that McCracken County requested the match-up with the Bulldogs.
