If it is bad then say the rounds are bad, but we all know that NO ONE cancels a regular season game that is in the late afternoon at 10 in the morning. It is comman place for our district to wait till at least Noon or later to make that call. If it was dangerous no one would ever want to put a student in danger. If you don't want to come, then say so. [/color]

I doubt all these schools got cold feet. I think the snow was a factor.

I believe they did get cold feet. . every school that backed out would've been demolished by the opposition.. bracken vs. scott namely

Sure thing Caketown, no problem.

Regardless .. scott still defeated newcath.. twice

I can't believe you people are cryin about this. U that live close to Campbell have easier access to the school. You wouldn't know about that living out in the country. All the roads in Bracken and Harrison are all very very dangerous roads when it snows. Yes its just 3 miles for us to get to the double A from the high school, but what about the roads the players have to travel on to get to the school. Some places in the county take 20 to 25 minutes just to get to Brooksville on a good day. You put a couple of inches of snow on those roads and it would take a hour just to get to the high school. Same for Harrison County. I love high school basketball but the safety of the kids and coaches is more important than basketball and good job for the three schools that didn't show up. U people need to grow up. :irked:

I guess polar bear is still upset over what happened Saturday and I'm not talking about high school basketball maybe college. Pendleton had their intermural tournament Sat. It started at 10 in the morning and I think everyone made it.The roads were slick early but by afternoon they were all clear including the back roads.I think if you commit to playing you should play unless everything is called off.I'm sure by the afternoon everyone in Harrison and Bracken were out running around including the kids.

Im glad they didnt show up... Scott vs. New Cath was a better game.

I agree with you, don't know if Deming went on to Campbell County or not they were supposed to play Williamstown.

They both cancelled out due to weather.

I do know the roads here were pretty slick Saturday morning, but I went out on my usual routine on my weekend off, though a bus might be more diffcult to handle.

I think Deming was still coming, Willamstown backed out so they had no one to play. I am pretty sure AD told someone this info.

I do know for a fact that Bracken County not coming was the Super's call. I know Coach Hammonds was looking forward to coming Saturday. It was not a good week for Bracken County schools. They had some students that were injured in an auto accident earlier in the week and everyone was erroring on the safe side. Plus their girl's game was cancelled in Northern Kentucky at about the same time as the tip as the boy's game. Add into that the fact that a school trip left at 6 am that morning and they were stranded for awhile and you can see why.

Yeah I made the trip to Campbell County for the Saint Patrick game, but I also came in a 4 wheel drive. Big difference than a bus.
