FWIW, I saw one of the best teams in the region lead Ballard 24-2 in Marshall county and that game ended up in overtime. I expect this one to get good in the 2nd half.

 

Holmes had a 10 point lead on Ballard in the 2nd qtr in the Fast Lane Classic and within probably 5 mins between the 2nd and 3rd qtr Ballard went from down 10 to up double digits.

 

Not having Douglas is something that people really need to keep in mind when looking at these updates. He changes Ballard big time. They have no one to match up with Schulte without him.

The second half surge is a staple of Ballard basketball. They did it in all three games in the 7th Region tournament last year.

No they do, but nobody that's 6'6". Can't bring in any 6-foot guards that can make up for that.

Foot injury. Has been out since last week and is expected to stay out for several more weeks.

Outside of Rayshawn Robinson, they don't have anyone that impresses me.

 

Wilson is nice but a frosh.

 

Kovacevic is simply a shooter and liability defensively.

 

Schiavone is same as Kovacevic.

Didn't know he was out until after I had posted that. I was in Lexington all day for my brother in law's return from overseas so wasn't on here to report that.
