I don't think the cannon game was 92, but I could be wrong.

I asked my two cousins who were on the 92 team at Christmas and they confirmed it was in 92 that the cannon was taken to the residence behind CovCath.

Raider;

I watched that 1995 Championship game, BG vs. Highlands. Wasn't that Coach Haley's last game at BG?

Yes it was...not a bad way to go out. For the last 30 years, BG has had just two coaches, Haley and Wallace.

That Hoptown team was stacked but it was hardly an upset when BG beat them. BG pummeled them all game and at one point it was 28-0. An interesting fact about that game: about midway through the third quarter, as BG was driving yet again, the lights in the stadium mysteriously got shut off. It provided for about a 30 minute delay in the game.

Mueller coaching in 2nd season at HHS and they lost a late season District game to an upstart Ryle team with a RB (Eddie ?) who ran all over them in the rain-soaked field. Turned around and stunned a home CovCath crowd 3-0 on a Sat. to gain a rematch with a Tim Couch-lead Leslie Co. team that had handled them in the seaason opener. HHS scored 70+ pts and couch broke the Natl record for TD passes with a late Td .......Story was HHS QB M.Mason breaking hand late in the game. BG handled HHS in the final w/Mason, it could have been more interesting......great coaching season from Mueller, beginning of what was to come...........
