Jonathan showed why HE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE REGION. A post the other day asked who the best shooter in the region was. I think you got your answer tonight. He was just amazing.ON :flame: With that said, Russell will have to get some help from others to have a chance in Morehead. I believe Blair and Gill can bring that help when they want to. Lavender's intentional foul really hurt the devils tonight, those 3 (should've been 4) points were the difference between overtime and the lost. Could've possibly been flagrant foul, he definately caught a break from the official. Then, they rewarded 1 FT after the basket and it should've been 2 FT even with the made basket. It was a really fun game to watch, with Vanhoose and Gagai going back and forth. Wow, what a game. :ylsuper: Good luck to the    :fire: :fire: :fire:

Wow!! Those are some bold statements! There are alot of players in the 16th Region that could make run for that TITLE! Antonio Owens, Blake McCowan, Cody Black, Drew McDavid, Ronald Weddington, Matt Daniel!! I will give you the fact that is was a fun game to watch and VanHoose was on fire! However, He's not averaging 29 a game or leading the area in scoring and his team is not leading the area in wins like some of the players mentioned above! Russell is a quality team, but just like almost every team in the 16th this year they WILL have to earn their spot in Morehead! Nothing in this region is a given!!!!

You have got to be kidding.....!!!!

He is a great player, but no comparison to Owens..... :thumb:

I will agree that Owens is the most athletic player in the Region, that he has the most raw talent in the region, and has a world of POTENTIAL, but he is far from the best BASKETBALL PLAYER in the region. This is his first year of varsity ball and it shows and will probally keep him from playing d-1 next year. The best BASKETBALL PLAYERS in the region would be a fairly short list. Headed by Vanhoose, McDavid, and Mccowan. Vanhoose will be playing at the highest level after high school for whatever thats worth.

Its hard to argue with 30 points a game though, not bad for someones 1st year of varsity basketball. As for Vanhoose, he may or may not go to a higher level. He is a slim built player who is going to have to get stronger and more physical to make it at the next level.

The highest level??? The NBA you have got to be kidding me! I think he can play college ball, but D-1 at Duke, Kentucky or Ohio St. is a big big stretch! I think that you need to get a grip and go to a major D-1 game and evaluate the talent and then look at these statements that you have just made!

Relax there bb, I'm not saying hoose will play in the nba, my point was that of the players mentioned, hoose will play at the highest level among the 4, I will officially predict he wont make the nba :D

The concession stand worker (whose son is a safety patrol kid and boy scout too) apologized for the call made against Russell when Austin Blair got tripped and should have gone to the foul line for a 1 and 1 late but instead called Gill for sticking his hip out as he turned to roll toward the basket, you dont make that call in that situation :irked:

 just cracks me up!

Funny, That was actually a good call on Gill! I have no problem with that call ShooterX3!!!!

But you had a problem with the elbow call on Kasey in the Greenup game..

The referee on the ball side did as he called it on the Ironton player and sent Blair to the line, only to be waived off by the referee on the opposite side :irked:

That's because the referee on the far side saw that the illegal screen that bumped the Ironton player into Blair was the first foul on the play! Again I say it was a good call unless you are looking through marron glasses! :creepy:

Next time I bet you will have a different police crew on duty
