The reason for my response was this ... I figure that the majority of LexCath's students come through the Catholic grade school system in Lexington. The fact that only one of the top seven players took that path to LexCath is surprising. I'm not ascribing any sinister reasons for it, but I can understand why the other 11th Region teams feel the way they do.

That quote you're referring to can be somewhat loaded. 6 of the 7 girls might not have attended Lexington Private Schools, but it doesn't mean all 6 of those girls aren't Catholic(im not sure exactly how many are but I believe a few are), that a few of those girls already planned on attending Lex Cath for high school but due to travel stayed home for middle school, and so forth. The point it does highlight is that Lex Cath does have many people come in from outside of Lexington, athletes and non athletes included. Catholic isn't getting girls from two-three hours away yet, but is getting girls in general from as far out as say Franklin Co. Does that make the playing field unlevel enough to warrant split playoffs is the biggest question?

Why do you keep coming up with excuses. They have 6 out of 7. Do YOU KNOW THESE KIDS PERSONALY, NO. It is a fact that their team of stars went elsewhere in middle school, how do you know why they went to LCH. That is what gets me. Private schoolers will not admit anything. If a kid went on the news who went to LC or T or X and said I went there because of sports and they paid my way. You guys would still say, well it only happened because of this or that and it was an isolated incident. We are talking about a school that just got punished for paying players and most of their stars are not catholic or did not go to a catholic middle school, or travel many miles just to go there. OF COURSE IT IS BECAUSE OF JUST HOW GREAT LC IS, IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE GREAT DISCIPLINE AND ACADEMICS AND WHY WOULD THEY GO TO THE HORRIBLE PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL IN THE PUBLIC SYSTEM THAT WAS GOOD ENOUGHT FOR THEM FOR THE 1ST 8 YEARS. If Parents think that public system is that bad, why do they wait untill 8th grade to make the switch, I guess the public system is ok untill 8th but watch out in high school. I know you guys are going to come on here and say well I know a kid that lost his Mom and could not go to grade school but worked 40 hours a week to save to go to LC AND HE DOES NOT PLAY SPORTS what about that. But were not talking about kids that dont play sports are we. We are talking about kids that do play sports. I could go on but wont. SO LET THE SPIN BEGIN.

Well, they had these large duffle bags just full of nike products, cash and scholarship papers. Their only job was to find the best girl basketball players around the state and get them to LC. Well, after they gave them all of this stuff, the girls were all brought to the school, where they met with the coaches in this back, private room we have there- no windows, dark lighting and all and then the deal was made. They were told if they all came to LC, it would be free, they could win and dominate the state and all sign college basketball scholarships. Well, all of that happened and now you know the rest of the story.

Were you a fly on the wall when the Parents made the decision to send the kids to LC?

Ummm about the paying players.... Sorry but you and inacurate with that... LCH didnt pay any player....It was a fund that was made in the name of the ex-pres of the school who decided to use that money to help a few students with there tuition, It is in Catholics policy that no student is left behind due to inability to pay tuition, the pres did do illegal things but it wasnt for getting players to come to catholic.. These people were arldy students... Get your facts straight before you say somethen like that.... :madman:

I dont think that a team that recruits could ever be a dynasty. Put them on a even playing field with a public school and see if they are so succesful as you say. NO MORE RECRUTING!!!PLZ
