Oh, I had a clue. But for all intents and purposes, you and I are "anonymous". And by the way, I hope you are right about RH. And in the event you are correct, I hope you preserve the moment if you know what I mean?! :D

Anyone else hear that Dakota Euton will be moving to North Carolina next year? I hope he stays here, I hate seeing all the great prospects moving for one reason or another.
Sounds like wishful thinking by some 16th region folks who don't look forward to playing against these kids for the next four seasons.

I've learned that it's not wise to take anyone or anything for granted, anything is possible... but I've also learned that rumors true or false regarding impact players spread like wildfire. It's easy to get burned.

Im sure any news like that is pure speculation at this point. Doesnt his brother, former Tomcat Darrell Arbaugh live there???

I haven't heard this? Anyone with info on this, please post it.

just a little knee injury he wasnt that much of a contributor to the team though.

I beg to differ with you on this remark. Chase has had some trouble being consistent, but his last few games have been tremendous. I think RH can win and I also think Chase is an important part of this team. And Walrus, I don't recall seeing you in the doctor's office with Chase discussing his "little knee injury". :irked:

It is important that I remind everyone of Rule 6:

"No putting incorrect or false information on the site."

If you have information you can validate please post it. Hearsay alone is unwise.

I've heard all kinds of wild possibilities concerning this group of kids.

I can state with certainty that Dakotah Euton is already getting serious looks from several major D-1 programs. An athletic 6' 7" 8th grader with a silky touch from 30' in and good grades will have no problem getting into a good school... even playing out of tiny Rose Hill. This is especially true if he keeps growing. The fact that Rose Hill is so small (with about 76 kids enrolled in grades 9 - 12) makes any success they may have that much more newsworthy... maybe not in their own backyard, but certainly on a larger level.

ESPN followed O.J Mayo around for a week in his 8th grade season at the Hill. He was truly unique, but it does serve to prove that great players will be discovered and exposed no matter where they go to school.

The fact that by staying together, these kids will all get more looks from D-1 schools has to be considered. Scouts coming to see Dakotah play may see things they like in some of his teammates.

His brother Darryl is a great guy who I would enjoy spending more time with myself, preferably on a nice golf course or with bass rods in our hands, but there has to be more incentive than that alone to make such a move.

This is one of the weakest teams Ashland has posted in quite awhile. Rose Hill will not be intimidated by the "mystique" of the Tomcats. Those kids at the "Hill" have been around the block already and know what it means to play a team like Ashland. The Ashland "name" will not win this one for them. You can't scare those big "boys" with a "KITTY CAT"....

The name won't win it for them, but the team's play will.

Basketballmom is correct! Chase has come along way since the start of the season. It goes to show you that when you have a coach (Fraley) who knows the game and who cares about his players, just how far you can take a player and how much they will work to become the best.

I always thought he was underrated.

Personally from watching Chase play, he just isn't strong enough and coordinated enough to really compete well on the varsity level YET, and i emphasize yet. He looks like he is still getting used to having that big body and when he does mature, remember he is still young, he will be a force on the inside. If he will really work out in the weight room and do agilities to establish his footwork, he will be dangerous in this region because nobody has his size.

Basketballmom I said that of this year although when he is a senior he will become a fine ball player and he is a good kid. ;)

I agree. Darrell is expecting his first child, so Clay and Pam will be grandparents soon. I dont know if that has any bearing on the situation or not.
