November 26, 201312 yr You can't seriously think bringing Bush up will be a good idea. It worked for the Dems twice. If I live long enough to see a Republican elected President again, I'll be interested in seeing how often BHO is brought up. Should be educational. Everybody does it.
November 26, 201312 yr Given Obama's dismal performance that will make a wonderful slogan for the Republicans in upcoming elections. It worked for... ...never mind. I already said that.

It's everyone's game plan and very successful.
November 26, 201312 yr If the GOP tries to make an issue with any bumps in the road re: Iran, all the Democrats have to do is point back to 2003 when Bush-Cheney invaded Iraq. "Do you want to go down this road again, or do you want to give diplomacy a chance?" That's the only question the Democrats need to pose. This country will not tolerate, nor can it afford, a third land war in Asia. FIFY - This world will not tolerate, nor can it afford, another nut job in Asia with nuclear weapons.

George Will, the smartest man in the world, was lamenting on Fox a couple Sundays ago that the Democrats start every presidential election with about 240 electoral votes already in the bank. That's because 18 states and D.C. have voted for the Democratic candidate without fail the past six presidential elections, and all that needs to be done essentially is find 30 or so more electoral votes. Unless the GOP starts changing the geographical map, it may win some mid-terms now and then but not the big one.
