I understand the band playing but I really don't get piping music through the PA system in between plays. Are we really that much of an A.D.D. society that we need to be entertained for approx. 30 seconds in between plays?

I agree, band is ok. They're not nearly as loud as a PA system can get and I think the band adds to the atmosphere of a "home field advantage".

Went to a high school basketball once where neither team had cheerleaders and the PA system broke right after the National Anthem was played. It was strange but you could hear both coaches, the refs, even the squeak of shoes on the court.

Ryle plays music through the PA all the way to the snap. Have for years. It's annoying and shouldn't be allowed.
