I'm sort of disappointed in Mustang for not doing a live webcast of the meet!

Why don't they run this thing at Keeneland???

Once around the 1 1/8 poly oval, and then once around the 1 mile turf course, and then back for a final lap around the poly would do it.

Fans could sit in the stands, see the entire race, and have a gorgeous setting with plenty of parking, etc..

Keeneland doesn't run again until next spring, and how much wear and tear could a bunch of high school kids do to the turf course??? The main poly track is indestructible.

I thought yesterday's temps were quite pleasant. It's interesting to see so many wearing the winter gear.

 

At 8:30am when many arrived, the temps were in the low 30's with frost.

Once the sun came out it warmed up quickly, but the early-arrivers were the ones bundled up.

Seems like the St Henry girls program is quite deep. New faces in high places.

 

Should be very strong again next year as they lose only one senior this year.

Why doesn't the KHSAA stream this event like they do many of the others? The high participation rate in the event might make it one of the most watched if it was streamed.

Let me offer congrats to the the Brossart boys, St. Henry girls, and the Highlands girls.

 

It should also be noted:

- The Cov. Cath boys turned in their best performance of the season with all of their kids peaking at the right time for the runner up finish in AA.

- Coopers boys finished 3rd in AAA. They ran great finishing only behind Trinity and St. X. All season long they were the best in NKY.

Congrats to St. Xavier for the 3A State Championship Three-Pete !

Congrats to the Cooper boys who finished third and they have, I believe, their top seven returning. Congrats to the other NKY schools as well.

I am not that close to those boys, but I believe them to all be really quality young men from what I do know.
