The Cards couldn't get anything going after a short run and 2 incomplete passes, forcing another punt. Wyndstra gets a good punt off all the way to the CC 13 yd line, but, with just under a minute, CC has time for another score.

Mayfield with an int on the 1st play so they have the ball on the CC 22 yd line.

Wynstra kicks a 37 yd FG with .19 secs left to go in the 2nd qtr, cutting the lead to 24-20..

Halftime score Caldwell Co 24 Mayfield 20... An outstanding game thus far.. CC will get the ball 1st to start the 2nd half.. Will be interesting to see what adjustments each coach makes in the 2nd half.

Overall, a good half of football by 2 pretty evenly matched teams.

CC starts the 2nd half at there own 28 yd line and Sindelar to Pepper picks up at big gain to the Card 35 yd line.

Boyd picks up a 1st down to the 25.. Sindelar then calls his own number and takes it all the way down to the 7 yd line. Sindelar completes a pass but only gets 3 yds out of it. Boyd for no gain on 2nd down, bringing up 3rd and goal at the 4. Boyd for 2 yds setting up a 4th and goal at the 2. CC brings on the kicking team and settles for a 19 yd FG, extending there lead to 27-20..

A very nice opening drive for the Tigers, but, they can't be happy only coming away with 3 points.

The Cardinals get the ball at the 30 yd line to start there 1st drive of the 2nd half, but, was unable to move the ball and forced to a 3 and out, giving the ball back to Sindelar and company..

Another statue of liberty play for a 25 yd pickup to the Cardinal 45 yd line, but, on the next play, Sindelar throws a long pass to the endzone, but, gets picked by the Cards, so, they have it back at the 20 yd line.

Bright picks up 17 on 1st down to the CC 37 yd line..

 

Bright picks up 4 on 1st down, then adds another 10 for another 1st down in Tiger territory.

 

On 1st down, Bright goes for another 16 yds down to the CC 33 yd line.

 

Bright for 3 yds on 1st down, and on 2nd and 7 at the 30, Guhy hits Kennemore for a 30 yd strike and TD.

Score now tied at 27.. That's the kind of drive the Cards needed to put together.
