With all due respect, and in no way defending Dalton; there had to be 10+ drops of well thrown balls tonight--None bigger than Sanu's for the first down in OT.

I disagree. Terrible game by Dalton. 4 turnovers and no touchdowns. It's very hard to win a game when your QB has 4 turnovers and no scores.

Yes they had drops in the first half, but Dalton's play hurt them more than anything else tonight.

Oh well, it is the Bengals. We are used to this type of performances. Last Sunday was more of a rarity than the exception with this team, we just hoped it wasn't a mirage but the real deal. tonight brought us back to reality.

 

They'll turn it around again, too good not to. We just need to get leads so the game doesn't rest on Daltons shoulders and we'll be fine.

You couldn't have been watching the same game. There were 11 seconds when the Dolphins kicked off. After the return there were 5 seconds on the clock. No way, no matter the QB, were they going to try a hail mary from the 25 yard line even if they had a time out. Stop kidding yourself.

Sorry guys. Dalton was not good but I see a lot of other mistakes by the team tonight beyond Dalton.

 

I see what you are saying. If you take away those 4 plays, I don't count the one interception because that was a great throw. However if you take away those 4 plays, then people say he played great. The problem is those 4 plays did happen, and those 4 plays were huge turning points in the game. Yes there were other drop passes too. However just take the pick 6 for example. If he hits Jones in stride, Jones might score or at least gets the first down. If anything they get a field goal. Instead of the Dolphins score a touchdown. He did many good things, but those 4 plays were huge enough plays to turn around the outcome of this game. So a lot of this game is on him. Even though I do like the confidence he is playing with now, but sometimes turnovers happens and it got him tonight.
