Checked with an official. He said in high school they penalize in the order of fouls even if they're back-to-back. So if Castleman got the first unsportsmanlike then they march back 15 and then if Conner player retaliated they then march back half the distance.

It is truly is amazing the game is over, all the twitter stuff calmed down until now, Drew Barker begins from where he left off Monday night.... I can only assume coaches at Conner did not address the issue. At the next level stuff like this can seriously backfire. Hopefully Drew learns soon. Don't get me wrong, he is a great player on the field, it is off the field mainly through social media for him that worries me.

 

Zero clue what you're referring to so I logged on and pulled up his tweets. I saw RTs of people that said he sucked (Scott players) and from people that said he didn't suck. I also saw him turn the other cheek when Fant from BG tried to take a little shot at him. I saw him give kinds words to young Mr Castleman as well.

I was thinking the same thing too reading the updates and seeing how Conner had a coup,e more straight pts blocked again. Is the problem the kicker taking too long getting the kick off or is it an issue with the line blocking?

Tell me about the TD run ( I think it was Scott's 2nd TD) when Castleman hurdled a player. Was the Conner defender down on the ground?

Castleman is not afraid to go airborne. The Incident at South Oldham's happened right in front me, and the SO player was on the ground. Last night, I had a bad angle and couldn't tell. My memory is foggy sometimes, but Casteleman has done this in almost every game. I'm sure it drives coaches nuts, but josh is a fearless kid and plays much bigger than he is.

I didn't know this rule either until I saw it come up in a game a couple of weeks ago. In that case, the offense was called for holding, and the defense got hit with a dead ball foul, late hit. The officials walked the holding off from the spot and then enforced the PF. In the case of last nights game, the unfortunate part for Scott was they were inside the 20 when it happened, and their walkoff was only half the distance. Turned out to be a big penalty.

Might have been even more. He (and the rest of Scott) were pretty much shut down in the second half, except for the one drive that tied things up. Conner did a nice job adjusting to slow the running game down in the second half. Almost a carbon copy of what happened in the SO game last week.
