Both are Top 10 teams in Class 1A. If Raceland wins, they complete an undefeated district schedule and secure the District Championship. If The Tigers upset the Rams, that would create a three way tie and things get complicated.

Who wins the final District game for both schools, and why?

I think it will be a close game with a lot of excitement. Paintsville has been down for a few years but have righted the ship this year. Ram, I am pretty sure that if we lose, Fairview wins the first tie breaker and Paintsville wins the second. That means a Raceland win and we win the District. A loss and we are 3rd in the District and go on the road for the playoffs.

I stayed up until 1am watching Raceland. Impressed with what they do on offense and the size of the team.

I picking the Rams by 14 points.

Raceland 35-14.

Raceland is coming off a huge emotional win over arch rival Fairview, IMO the best football that the Rams have played all season.

Paintsville, as others have said is a much improved football program, heading back in the direction of what they were years ago under the "Blue Legend" Walter Brugh. Man, did the Rams and Tigers have some battles then.

Getting off memory lane I don't know if the running back (not sure of name) that went out with an injury of their game with Fairview (on what I hear was a very "questionable" hit) will be playing or not. I have heard that he was an excellent RB. Paintsville will be at home and sky high for the Rams and I will assure anyone they will play hard. Raceland cannot have a letdown after the emotional win last week, if the Rams don't come out playing as focused, wanting to win as they did vs. fairvew then Paintsville will win.

I think that Raceland will get this one, knowing if they don't then the district championship might get by them.

Raceland 31

Paintsville 20

Last week was just that Rams, last week ! One of your goals is a District Championship, you HAVE TO WIN Friday night at Paintsville to get that Title clear and not just a share. Home playoff games throughout are riding on this game.

The uncontested district title is in sight.....How Bad Do You Want It ??? RAMS, that is up to no one but you - you control who wins this district.

What is the health status of the Paintsville RB's?

I have spoken to a couple of the dads about checking out the sideline heater I donated back in 2008 to make sure it's working. Got to keep the players warm this week. It's going to be cold in the mountains!

They certainly were, still some of the hardest hitting h.s. football games that I have ever watched. Of course, the coaches battles were great as well....W. Brugh at Paintsville, L. Heck thru Bill Tom Ross at Raceland were some of the best games of the season anywhere along with the coaching matchups.

Rams, you have 2 days of preparation left before you load the bus for Paintsville. An uncontested District Championship along with home field throughout the playoffs is on the line. Nothing else need be said.

RAM FOOTBALL = FAMILY !!
