JokersWild24
With all the talk about Johnson Central's Tyler Pack setting the new state record for distance on a field goal, I wondered what state records our users felt would be most likely to stand. The Scribe
I don't see anyone topping Male's 149 points vs. Tharp in 1913 or Owensboro's 20 touchdowns scored in a game in 1917
Ram
I don't see anyone breaking Don Gullett's most points scored in one game by a player - 72. And, as a consequence, I don't see anyone breaking Don Gullett's most touchdowns scored in one game by a player -
JokersWild24
Those are all good ones. I could see someone breaking the 72 total points in a game if they were the kicker as well as a skill position player, but it won't be anytime soon. I'd think it'd be someone whose a great player at a small school to be able to get the 72 though, and with the way players find their way to bigger programs today, it makes it less likely. Ram
Gullett was a RB and kicker.

I wouldn't be shocked if he would schedule some really down 1A school just to get such a record

Very good point. Maybe a high scoring shootout with some overtimes and/or a game where the team trying to break the record purposefully keeps the margin close enough that the running clock rule doesn't take effect is what it will take for some records to fall, which really narrows the chance of them happening.
